What exactly is Robotic Legends all about?
Our mission is to provide the robotic sports community (combat, hockey, sumo, you name it!) with broad support for builders, event organizers, vendors, and content creators. Our overarching goal is to ensure those with the passion to design, build, and compete can bring their ideas and imagination to life!
How does this benefit the robotic sports community?
If you have ever tried to research robotic sports on your own then you probably found quickly there is a LOT out there on the internet! So much so, it can be difficult to figure out where to begin. Even for regular bot builders, it can remain challenging to find reliable and easy to navigate resources or documentation.
Some common questions:
“How do I design my bot?” – “What kind of motors do I need?” – “What batteries should I use?” – “How do I find a local event to compete?” – “Who can I ask for help if I’m stuck?” – “Can I host my own events?” – “What rules should I follow?” – “Where can I buy specialized parts?”
Our hope is by creating a centralized “web portal or hub” to serve the community at large we can make it easier for everyone to spend less time searching the internet and more time designing, building, and competing!
Furthermore, we intend to not just link to existing content but host future content from the builders themselves. In essence… A robotic sports resource hub built by and for the very people who participant everyday.
