Back in 2018, I found my first robot competition up in Lynchburg, VA after searching online for where to fight robots locally. (This was after years of watching big bots slug it out on BattleBots!)
I was big into microcontrollers back then, so I made my one pound bot, J5, using an Arduino controller both as the transmitter and receiver. The bot didn’t fight very well but what it lacked in power it made up for with personality! Ever since, I’ve been hooked.
